FS#646 - [PATCH] Nick of someone using /me hilights you if it matches one of your hilight entries

Let's say your nick is snip, and someone called snip_2 uses a /me action in a channel that you're on. You'll get hilighted (under normal circumstances).

(This patch also fixes two very minor indentation problems that just happened to be nearby and caught my attention, /* check nick mask hilights */ and HILIGHT_REC *rec;)

This task does not depend on any other tasks.

Thanks for the patch, but it's not really the right way to fix this. This patch makes assumptions about how the theme formats actions.

A "right" way to fix this might be to treat hilights for actions like we treat messages. But then what about joins,parts,quits,kicks,topics,... So I doubt that's a good solution too...

Another idea: there could be a way to mark parts of a message as to be ignored by hilight. For example (if this format was %I), you could in the theme then do something like
action_core = "%W * %I$0%I $1-", which would make $0 ignored by hilighting... But that's not really trivial to implement :)
